The State's Supreme court overturned the voters choice as their rulings abide by the State's constitutional law.

Had lawmakers supporting the gay community opted a different name for their 'union' there would not be outrage. American lawmakers who change the man/woman marriage laws rather than create a 'new institution' for same sex unions are stealing the foundation and meaning of marriage, in the name of equal rights.

CNN/Opinion Research Corporation and a Newsweek poll conducted in December, 2008, said that fifty-five percent of Americans questioned believe same sex marriages should not be recognized by law as valid. Forty-four percent said gay marriages should be legal.

Marriage has been clearly defined between a man and a woman. Marriage is a socially ethic behavior for many people with a religious morality that must be protected. Gays do have rights, but not the right to impose their desire on an existing lifestyle. They take away the rights of Americans who believe marriage is a sacred man/woman union.

A suggestion to law makers and the gay community is to put your 'thinking caps' and come up with your own name for your desired 'union'. Here are a few suggestions to consider with respect to same sex unions: Austria has adopted Domestic Partnership to become legal in 2010, joining Hungary and Denmark who already call it Domestic Partnership; France, Sweden and Norway call it a Civil Union.

NOW, stop treading on the fifty-five percent of Americans whom believe marriage is a bond between a man and a woman.

Obama Blamed America!!!!!!

At the recent G20, Obama blamed U.S. regulatory failures for contributing to the crisis in the financial system...

I beg to differ! We have enough regulations. What is lacking is real honest oversight of the institutions regulated by government committees!

The United States House Committee on Financial Services (aka House Banking Committee) oversees the entire financial services industry, including the securities, insurance, banking, and housing industries. The Committee also oversees the work of the Federal Reserve, the United States Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and other financial services regulators.
Barney Frank, (D-PA) is the Chairman of that Committee (2007-to date). Why isn't he being been held responsible for dereliction of duty? FNMA and FMLMC failed under his watch while he was busy leveraging banks into loaning people money for homes who could not afford them. (CRA)
In addition, the SEC was told, in ever greater detail, that Madoff's investment fund was a Ponzi scheme. Barney Frank and committee discounted the information. To this day, Frank continues blaming others for the country's financial woes which can be attributed to [his]lack of due-diligence during his watch. Frank has been feeding from the public trough since 1981, enough is enough! VOTE TERM LIMITS!

The United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs has jurisdiction over matters related to: banks and banking, price controls, deposit insurance, export promotion and controls, federal monetary policy, financial aid to commerce and industry, issuance of redemption of notes, currency and coinage, public and private housing, urban development and mass transit, and government contracts.
Chris Dodd, (D-CT) is Chairman of this Committee. Why wasn't he held responsible for dereliction of duty? Dodd still cannot find his HUD statement for his 'sweetheart deal' from Countrywide....amazing, still lost after almost 2 years! Dodd is also responsible for 'black-mailing' financial institutions into make bad loans. He has been feeding at the public trough since 1975, enough is enough! VOTE TERM LIMITS!

WHERE WAS THE ETHICS COMMITTEE? You know, those who are supposed to oversee Standards of Official Conduct. Zoe Lofgren, (D-CA) is Chairwoman of this committee; clearly missing in action. Maybe someday she will crawl out from under her desk or someone's pocketbook and bring charges against these dishonest clowns.

None of them are capable of doing the 'right' thing. For some reason, "Statist" do not like any word with the letters R-I-G-H-T as it resembles the opposition. Clearly they are w-r-o-n-g for America's recovery and capitalist ingenuity!

ARE YOU FED UP YET? IF NOT, THINK ABOUT A CONGRESS AND PRESIDENT WHO:

1) are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying? (right now, we all owe $35,000 already!)
2) voted for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it? (blind faith-following the leader)
3) want government controlled health care?
4) punish those achievers who practice responsible financial behavior and reward the failures of those who do not?
5) refuses to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country?
6) take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget?
7) want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others?
8) want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels? (A smoke and mirror scheme to collect more tax dollars)
9) consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected? (hello ACORN, hello UAW)
10) admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda? ("Never waste a crisis", Timothy Geitner)

A LOUD AND UNITED PROTEST WILL GET THEIR ATTENTION. Tea Parties are growing, currently organized in over 1,650 cities across the nation to let these self-indulging politicians know how WE, THE PEOPLE, feel about their irresponsible spending. They work for us, not their own self-interest desires.

We cannot be silent any longer; we have to stop them! Our Constitution is our foundation, they cannot 'change' it or hand it over to a Global committee to mandate how much we earn, if we are eligible for a specific health related issue, I could go on I'm so angry, but I'll save it for the Tea Party. Join me in LHC on the 15th and let's give 'em hell!

Everyone is invited! It's not about Right or Left, it's about RIGHT OR WRONG! Join other locals protesting bad government decisions on April 15, 2009, at the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City at 5:00 PM. Make or bring a sign telling them how you feel about higher taxes, socialized medicine, cap and trade, and all their new ideas to change our country into something we won't like while stealing our money to do it.

OBAMA'S ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONED

A member of the U.S. military whose suspicions about Barack Obama's eligibility to be president prompted him to sign onto a legal demand being sent to Attorney General Eric Holder has now been silenced. No one is in control, no one in Congress knows what to do and no one want to be responsible for a bill that will set America's economy back 50 years!

Obama found time to address his followers. He wrote in an op-ed in the Washington Post that inaction could lead the economy into an irreversible decline, "Because each day we wait to begin the work of turning our economy around, more people lose their jobs, their savings and their homes," he wrote. "And if nothing is done, this recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse." He has also made time for the news circuit "The time for talk is over. The time for action is now."

Scaring people into making a bad decision is not a sign of a good leader. He still believes he can say anything and people will believe him, like 62% of the voters did during the election.

It has just come to light there is a provision of the act that actually allows for funds to be given by the federal government in the form of grants for renovation of existing colleges and universities. "But there's a specific prohibition on two things," an attorney explains. "One, if the university itself is a religiously based or faith-based institution, it does not qualify. And if the facility that is being renovated allows religious worship to take place, it also does not qualify." Sounds ripe for a lawsuit.

For every billion added by the Democrats for pork projects that will not stimulate our current economy, Republicans are trying to counter with tax breaks to lend some relief to over-burdened taxpayers.

President Obama isn't walking his talk. The Democrats control Congress and they are out of control, like kids in a candy shop finding ways to spend our tax dollars on every pet project they can think of!

INAGURATION PRAYER, A DAY OF GRACE, POWER

Rick Warren's Inauguration Prayer on January 20th steered clear of controversy while invoking Jesus. His remarks at Obama's inauguration struck a conciliatory tone, despite an overtly Christian appeal. Warren eluded the outcry in the gay community, yet conceded to the big question hanging over the evangelical pastor's prayer Tuesday as to whether it would ratchet up or tone down the controversy. Invoking a God that he said was "loving to everyone you have made" and praying for "civility in our attitudes, even when we differ," Warren clearly opted for a conciliatory tone that eschewed any mention of culture-war issues.
Warren refused interviews with over 100 reporters. Then in the face of widespread speculation about whether he would invoke Jesus's name or take a more ecumenical approach, Warren's roughly five-minute prayer included allusions to Judaism and Islam but ended in a recitation of the Lord's Prayer, the most widely shared prayer among Christianity's divergent traditions and denominations.
Warren broke into the Lord's Prayer which begins with the words "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name" in the last lines of his invocation but specified that he was doing it in the "name of the one who changed my life." Then he spoke Jesus's name in a handful of languages, including Arabic and Hebrew. It was more a personal testimony than insisting that everyone accept this prayer. It was as ecumenical a prayer as an evangelical could give.

VICTORY! I saw a great injustice by the justice system and got onboard with this one with NumbersUSA.com about 3 years ago. Finally, all the efforts of NumbersUSA.com has resulted in Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos getting out of prison.
On Monday, during his last full day in office, Pres. Bush commuted the sentences of these former Border Patrol agents. They were convicted of violating Border Patrol policies in the non-fatal shooting of a drug smuggler in 2005.
Many of our readers of this newspaper responded to the plea for help when we were trying to keep Compean and Ramos from going to prison. But we lost. Last week NumbersUSA sent out another plea for help. This time WE WON!
Read more here.
I wish to thank Roy Beck of NumbersUSA for his tremendous efforts. Many people told him that the last-minute efforts were futile. But thanks to all of you who took action even while believing it likely would lead to nothing.
In the face of seemingly insurmountable odds, hundreds of thousands faxes and emails went to the White House. Ramos and Compean won't be allowed out of prison until March 20. But they will still be home with their families 8-9 years earlier than if Bush had not acted.
Thank you all for your participation.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://gsxnews.blogspot.com/2009/01/victory-border-patrol-agents-ramos.html' title='VICTORY! <![endif]-->
The “New Deal” was a bad deal for America then and it will be again if the new administration and current congress has its way.

Research by historians has found that President Roosevelt’s expensive Depression-era make-work projects actually coincided with an increase in unemployment and the projects took many years to complete, producing at best minimal benefits to the ‘current’ economy of the time.

Government spending on such a large scale will be nothing more than a stimulus to special interests. Favored industries, including “green” ones, and specifically labor unions, will be the only beneficiaries under the proposed stimulus plan by the new administration.

Where is the evidence that this time it will be any different than the Roosevelt plan? The government will throw billions at every ‘so-called’ crisis with a result that merely stimulates more waste, mismanagement, fraud, abuse and campaign contributions to politicians from the special interests chosen as the beneficiaries of all our taxpayer money.

American capitalism is what made our country the most desired place to live and prosper in the world; is about winners and losers, not government controlled bailouts. Businesses come and go based on supply, demand, responsible management and foresight. Our country will not ‘fall’ because businesses fail and workers are laid off. American’s are resourceful and resilient, we cannot expect our government to ‘nanny and nurse’ us back on our feet!

Self-serving politicians and powerful people who now have control of our tax dollars and have squandered it on their own special interests, holding we, the taxpayers hostage. This has resulted in a country with Government rule and is no longer a country ‘of the people, by the people or for the people’. We, the people, are getting the proverbial crumbs while the [elite] servants of the people take care of themselves and their ‘friends’.

Their surrealistic idea is that ‘we, the people’ are too stupid to figure out how to help ourselves and they must control us, as our saviors.

This sounds more like a RAW DEAL; what say you?

<![endif]-->
Ever wonder why this Congress, lead by Fancy Nancy and Dingy Harry, are in the process of pushing through a $14 Billion dollar bailout for the ‘Big Three’ auto industry? Could it be pay-back for the union’s lobbying efforts to get the Obama [the messiah] elected as our next president? Could it be just an excuse to add pork for their pet projects into the billions? Why did the highly paid CEO’s who oversee the company’s operations let their companies get this far out of hand? They are supposed to be smart enough to ‘forecast’ and budget. Did they know they may be in line for a [sweet] bailout? After the bank bailout, AIG, etc. did they think it would be slam-dunk! How many more are going to jump in?

I am angry! It would be very unfortunate if all the people associated with the auto industry were laid off; I [we] could have to say, ‘welcome to the crowd!’ I was laid off earlier this year because of the economy. Exactly what really happened to the economy? Well, for starters reckless expansive of credit that brought about bank expansion and inflation. Artificially inflating our dollar debased our currency on a grand scale! What or who could have been responsible for this?

Think back to the Carter and Clinton Administrations and you will find the beginning of our current economic woes. In the 1970’s Carter-era Community Reinvestment Act forced banks to lend to uncreditworthy borrowers, mostly to minorities. In the 1990’s Clinton added more muscle, despite warnings from the GOP, in 1992 and leveraged extensive changes to the rules requiring lenders to make questionable loans. Lenders who refused were publically chastised and called ‘racists’. Failure to comply with Clinton’s new rules meant that a bank may not be allowed to expand lending, add new branches or merge with other companies. Clinton’s comptroller used every means possible to end discrimination as quickly as possible. It was during this time Congress gave Fannie and Freddie permission to finance all of this by buying loans from banks, repackaging and securitizing them for resale on the open market. Because of these economically destructive laws, it all snowballed into what we face today. The media will never hold anyone accountable; so Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank will continue with their outright deception touting that it all occurred due to President Bush’s administration, policies and the war on terror. Now with Obama [the community organizer] as president elect, we will see the entire process accelerate exponentially. The end is nowhere near my friends! Hang on to your hat because we are in for a wild ride downhill!

Welcome

Welcome to our new blog site.
